| More snow has fallen in the Colorado high country. Monarch our local ski resort just broke 400 inches of snow fall this year. So needless to say the skiing was great. I skied on the snow cat yesterday. Wow I love Powder. http://skimonarch.com |

| I am considering taking my daughter and two teen-aged grandsons on a rafting trip - possibly the Yampa in early June or Lodore Canyon later in the summer. What do you think. |

| This June should surely by a great month for running the water down the drainages in Colorado. Our month of May has been cold and the snow melt has been slow. Who knows when the warm temps decide to stick solid and the snow melts increases. June is probably the month to expect the best water down the "V's" of CO mountain country. It's a good year people - take to the paddles! |

Pine Creek Comments |
By Tracy Allen on
6/1/2008 6:22 AM |
| Hi, we are interested in a Pine Creek trip in July, but I am a bit nervous about the experience level needed. We've done Browns a couple of times, the Numbers and the Gorge (at very low levels). I am a petite athletic woman and he is a strong paddler. Is this trip suitable for a woman with this type of experience? Looking for comments from someone who has done this trip. Thanks. |

We had a blast !!
So we are planning another August trip back to browns canyon again this year.

2 years ago was the first time We had ever rafted so I was a little worried , but our Guide was wonderful.. I sure hope to have him again as our Guide this year.

Also the Lunch was far more than I ever expected. When we stopped for lunch we all relaxed in the sun and dried out some, while the guides prepared our fantastic Lunch, and with sliced fruit and cookies for desert.

River Runners is the best... Thank you for our Great Vacation experience in 2006, and cant wait to arrive this year.

PLUS .. Yampa River News |
By Phil on
6/16/2008 7:56 AM |
| The Yampa at Deerlodge Park was flooding over Memorial Day and I heard that several of the rapids were outrageous: Teepee, Moonshine, and of course Warm Springs. The latest stream flows and NWS reports would indicate that similar conditions are again happening right now. Does anyone have any news on what the conditions are like? |
